In my 20s, I made $30K/month with poker.
In my 30s, I had $20M thanks to Bitcoin.
At 42, I’m broke, and free.
13 sacred truths I learned the hard way, so you don’t have to die inside to get the point.
(a thread to bookmark)🧵

1. Chase money early.
At 20:
Hunt it like it’s life or death.
Stack it fast. Spend it wrong.
At 30:
Realize wealth was never about stuff.
It was the power to walk away clean.

2. Lose everything. Spectacularly.
At 20:
Fear collapse.
Cling to what you have.
At 30:
Let it all fall.
Watch what survives.
Who stays. What still matters.

3. Forget yourself.
At 20:
Build your name. Win trophies.
Make the world say it.
At 30:
Watch it suffocate you.
Every year you keep it, the coffin tightens.

4. Travel till you disappear.
At 20:
Sleep in airports. Get lost.
Walk into cities where the alphabet
is a mystery.
At 30:
Learn travel doesn’t give answers.
It rips away the lies you lived inside.

5. Embrace chaos.
At 20:
Draw straight lines.
Plan everything. Expect life to obey.
At 30:
Watch every plan go up in flames.
Nothing unfolds like you imagined.

6. Own almost nothing.
At 20:
Brag about toys. Worship clutter.
Mistake more for meaning.
At 30:
Watch your stuff own you.
Strip it back. Burn what weighs you down.

7. Read like your life depends on it.
At 20:
Highlight quotes.
Borrow books you never return.
Fall in love with ideas that make you feel alive.
At 30:
Build a library bigger than your attention span.
Keep searching for the next mind shift.

8. Understand money’s real game.
At 20:
Chase it. Lose it.
Meet yourself in the ashes.
Buy Bitcoin.
At 30:
Learn it’s stored energy.
Circulate it. Invest it.
Compound freedom.
Buy Bitcoin.

9. Teach before you're ready.
At 20:
Learn fast.
Teach too soon.
Fail hard. Learn harder.
At 30:
Teach to lift others,
not to prove you know.

10. Love inconveniently.
At 20:
Burn for love without knowing why.
Suffer. Heal. Burn again.
At 30:
Choose the love that humbles you.
Stay when it stops being easy.
Learn to hold space, not just hands.

11. Practice brutal honesty.
At 20:
Spot the lies.
Burn fake bridges.
Lose fake friends.
Gain real silence.
At 30:
Tell the truth that frees you,
but learn which truths are sacred,
and don’t need to be spoken.

12. Write until you vanish
At 20:
Paint on walls. Tattoo your skin.
Spill yourself without a plan.
At 30:
Write to chart the chaos,
to turn wounds into maps.
Find form in the mess.

13. Live into the lesson.
At 20:
You try to apply the rules of your 30s.
You think the wisdom of the 40s is soft,
and wrong. So you fail. Loudly.
At 30:
You start to glimpse the 40s truth.
But you're still clinging to control.
So you fail. Quietly.

I don’t have answers.
Just stories I paid for in full.
Take what’s useful. Burn what’s not.
Then go live the version only you could write.
These took 10 days to write.
If something hit you, drop a comment.
I would love that.
If it’s worth sharing, retweet the first post.
