One of the most tired "arguments" from AI haters is that AI art has no value because it’s just “typing a few words.” Well, as someone who’s not only an artist but also a writer and poet, I’d say this: Writing a book or a poem also involves typing a few words. So what? Does anyone question whether that’s art? And if the goal is to oversimplify to the point of absurdity, then I could just as easily say: Isn’t painting just moving your hand over a canvas? Isn’t drawing just dragging a pencil across paper? That’s something anyone can do — even a monkey. (Proven fact.) 🙈✏️ And yes, I’ve been able to draw since I was a kid. I got top marks in Fine Arts. But I choose to use AI — because it’s better than a pencil for what I want to create. Let’s be real: are you going to make a short film with just a pencil? Come on. That’s ridiculous. Here’s the truth: Your argument is weak, reversible, and rooted in fear of change. And the more you cling to it, the more obvious it becomes that it’s not about art — it’s about control.
