Veo 3 + a screenshot from my Webcam?

With some creative prompting, Veo can do some very surprising things out of the box.

Earlier, we looked at "Instantly jump/cut on frame 1" prompts that lets you upload a single start frame and then "trick" Veo to do a near-instant scene shift while keeping the subject of your start frame intact and consistent in the new scene.

More examples in the 🧵
Here's a "raw" example straight from Veo 3. Using a character sheet as a start frame and prompts like (you can set up a llm to follow this structure and expand on your scene descriptions, or just type them manually using natural language. The first part in bold causes the scene context to shift:

INSTANTANEOUS DIMENSIONAL SHIFT on frame 1: The subject remains as the sole anchor point while their reality is replaced. New Reality:

The old man is now shuffling through a dimly lit, slightly dusty corner of a claymation grocery store. The shelves are dark, painted clay, bowing slightly under the weight of dented cans and faded boxes; visible dust, made from fine gray clay powder, clings to the surfaces. The only significant light source is a single, buzzing clay light fixture overhead that flickers erratically, casting long, shifting shadows down the aisle. He runs a hand along the shelf edge, his voice a raspy, tired whisper, a list born of lonely habit.
Even very detailed objects can be kept consistent.

Heres another example of using a single start frame along with prompts like:

A hard environmental reset occurs on frame 1. The previous setting vanishes. New environment data instantly loads:

The subject is being thrown through the air at a baseball match. The camera follows in a closeup.
