AI moved fast this week—again.

Here’s everything you missed (and need to know): https://t.co/J6Rq1zUlrH
1. Anthropic released Claude Opus 4 and Sonnet 4—Opus 4 is now the top AI coding model in the world.

These new models excel in hybrid reasoning, meaning they can handle complex, multi-step problems across various domains—from writing and logic to advanced programming.

Notably, Opus 4 beat GPT-4, Gemini 1.5, and Mistral on several coding benchmarks, including HumanEval and SWE-Bench.
2. OpenAI just made its largest acquisition ever: Jony Ive’s AI hardware startup “io” for $6.5 billion.

The mysterious device—coming in 2026—is not a phone or wearable, but something entirely new.

It’s designed to be “fully aware of its surroundings” and bridge the gap between digital intelligence and the physical world.

Jony Ive (the legendary Apple designer) is bringing real-world UX vision into AI.
3. Google launched “Flow,” an AI filmmaking suite powered by Veo, Imagen, and Gemini.

You can now generate cinematic video content by simply describing your vision in natural language.

Veo handles high-quality video, Imagen adds visual detail, and Gemini enables complex, real-time scene logic.

Flow is available through Google AI Studio (Pro access required).
4. Shopify introduced an AI Store Builder that can generate entire ecommerce websites from a single prompt.

For example: Type “outdoor hiking gear” and it produces a complete storefront with 3 layout variations, product descriptions, and imagery.

Additionally, Shopify’s AI assistant Sidekick now supports natural voice commands, making store creation even more intuitive.
5. Google unveiled Gemma 3n, a highly efficient multimodal AI that runs on devices with less than 2GB RAM.

Unlike larger models, Gemma 3n uses Per-Layer Embeddings to drastically reduce memory usage, allowing it to operate privately and offline.

Perfect for on-device applications like mobile assistants and embedded AI tools—no internet required.
6. Mistral dropped Devstral, a powerful open-source 24B coding agent that beats models twice its size.

Scoring 46.8% on SWE-Bench, Devstral outperforms GPT-4 and Claude on real-world GitHub tasks.

The best part? It runs locally on a single RTX 4090 or a Mac with 32GB RAM, making it ideal for developers who value speed and privacy.
7. GitHub Copilot just got smarter—Microsoft rolled out its new autonomous coding agent.

You can now assign GitHub issues directly to @copilot, and it will acknowledge with 👀 and start working.

It handles end-to-end workflows, including multi-file refactoring, bug fixing, and even full app creation.

A huge step toward a fully automated dev environment.
8. Google’s Veo 3 brings AI video into the sound era—it’s the first model to create synchronized audio.

Veo 3 now generates dialogue, ambient sound, and effects with perfect lip-sync and environmental realism.

Expect lifelike animal noises, footsteps, and even cinematic soundtracks—automatically paired with visuals.
