This man founded a $3 TRILLION company.
He could've been one of the richest people to ever live.
But he ended up making only $800 from it because of ONE regretful decision.
Here’s the story behind the biggest “What if?” in history: https://t.co/4QXD99zv5g

In 1976, Apple wasn’t a tech giant. It was two guys—Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.
Working out of a garage, dreaming of building computers.
Jobs needed someone with business experience though.
So Ronald Wayne, who was already a seasoned entrepreneur, joined the business. https://t.co/QLdYDBU3Ft
His role?
Handle administration, draw up contracts, and bring some stability to the chaotic company.
Wayne even designed Apple’s first logo, which was… very different from today’s sleek design: https://t.co/67o7VIRX67

Wayne also drafted the company’s partnership agreement.
Giving himself a 10% stake in Apple.
Jobs and Wozniak each held 45%.
But there was a catch:
Wayne had personal assets that could be seized if Apple went into debt.
But Jobs and Woz had nothing to lose. https://t.co/lHfJP9ioZS
Just 12 days later, Wayne got cold feet.
He thought that Apple was going to fail and would leave him financially ruined.
So he sold his 10% stake back to Jobs and Wozniak for $800.
They later gave him an extra $1,500 to forfeit all future claims. https://t.co/QZmCWpDK1Y
For Wayne, it felt like a safe move.
Apple was a risky startup, and Jobs was a relentless visionary.
At the time, $800 was a lot of money for him.
But his ‘playing it safe’ gamble backfired.
That 10% stake? Today, it would be worth over $300 BILLION. https://t.co/xA5InCtEEZ

Let’s put that into perspective:
Ronald Wayne would have been the second richest man on earth, only Elon beats him.
With $300 billion, he could afford to buy - everything.
Instead, he left it all behind... https://t.co/xkFissLxNL
But Wayne didn’t stop there.
In the 1990s, he sold the original Apple contract for just $500.
Years later, that same document sold at auction for $1.6 million.
Talk about adding insult to injury. https://t.co/fomSob8ssH

Despite all this, Wayne says he has no regrets.
In interviews, he’s said he wasn’t cut out for the high-stakes world of Steve Jobs.
He preferred a quiet life, WITHOUT the pressure of risking everything.
He even joked: “I’d end up the richest man in the cemetery.” https://t.co/ig9Ma3rm7b
Ronald Wayne’s story is a wild mix of caution, missed opportunity, and the unpredictable nature of success.
He may not be $300 billion richer, but his legacy as Apple’s forgotten co-founder will live forever.
